50 of the 90 students will be offered their placement with organisations based in the South-West of Scotland. This is linked to the funding and the aim of encouraging direct employment for students following their placement and creating additional jobs in the area.
To facilitate this, the Data Lab have partnered with MBN Solutions, one of Europe’s leading Data Science and Big Data recruiters, to help place the MSc graduates into organisations seeking to make the most of the talent on offer. The programme will ensure the continued availability of some of the very best work place ready and most talented data scientists to Scottish businesses and the public sector.
